Their research reveals that destination weddings are becoming more popular and financially achievable for couples looking for a memorable occasion. There were 2.24 million weddings in 2023 and the average cost of a US wedding ranges from $28,000 to $35,000.
Jamaica, Mexico and the Bahamas are the most popular locations for weddings. Hawaii and the rest of the Carribean are incredibly popular. Approximately 25% are Destination Weddings. An all-inclusive Caribbean honeymoon can cost $5,000 to $10,000, but if choosing a luxurious one, the numbers are higher. Location is a factor with an all-inclusive resort because it can significantly affect the price.

The honeymoon industry is worth 12 billion dollars-per-year. Ninety-nine percent of couples take a honeymoon, with an average luxury honeymoon spend of $9,950. Sixty percent of couples will travel internationally, so planning a destination wedding, and rolling in all costs makes sense.
