BALYO Company Growth Continues with APAC Director Allan Chew
BALYO, the leader in REACH and VNA (very narrow aisle) AGV (automated guided vehicles), is growing rapidly increasing the global footprint. The staff is expected to double to accommodate this growth and demand for product. The newest member of the BALYO team is Allan Chew, APAC Director. He is familiar with the business culture within the APAC community in a direct, in-direct, distributors, partnership with OEM business model. Chew’s market focus is with pharma, food and beverage using Balyo Reach trucks and VNAs (very narrow aisles) vehicles. Chew reports to Mark Stevenson, Chief Sales Officer.
Chew brings 15 years of APAC experience managing teams across the region in direct and non-direct capacity. He has served the robotics and automation market segment across intra-logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, and semiconductors focusing on material handling.
The growth of company is driven by the fact that storage space is in short supply and the only option is to use vertical vehicles. Logistics, 3PLs, and distribution centers find the Balyo automated guided vehicles the best option.
Chew comes to BALYO from GreyOrange; he graduated from Ngee Ann Polytechnic in mechanical engineering and electro-mechanical.
