Leading Private Aviation Consultant, Private Aviation Tech, Extends Audit Capability to Include Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems
HONG KONG – October 19, 2026 – Private Aviation Technology Ltd. (PATL), a Hong Kong‑based consultancy specializing in aviation solutions, costing architecture, operations design and aircraft management compliance, announced that leadership team member Ray Wilson has been approved as an auditor for the International Business Aviation Council’s (IBAC) IS‑BAO Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) program. Wilson already holds IS‑BAO Stage 3 auditor credentials and brings 30 years of military, commercial, and business aviation leadership experience to the role. The last 15 years as an accredited auditor with IS-BAO.
The approval expands PATL’s audit and consultancy reach to operators across Asia that manage or are introducing drone fleets alongside traditional crewed aircraft, or as a standalone platform. PATL further ensures regional operational experience and regulatory familiarity are cornerstones of each solution.
IS‑BAO Stage 3 accreditation evaluates an operator’s full safety management system against IBAC’s highest standards. With RPAS approval added, PATL can now audit both crewed and remotely piloted operations under a single engagement—an efficiency that has historically been difficult for operators to achieve.
“Drone operations aren’t an add‑on anymore—they’re becoming core to how modern fleets function and an exciting new avenue in aviation. This approval allows us to apply proven IS‑BAO methodologies to emerging technologies without treating them as an add-on or second‑class operations,” said Ray Wilson, Senior Partner, Private Aviation Technology Ltd.
Operators in Asia face complex jurisdictional requirements that make aligning cost models with real‑world operations challenging—particularly as fleets diversify beyond fixed‑wing aircraft. PATL’s engagements focus on reducing complexity. The firm’s independent and strictly confidential model ensures client cost structures and operational strategies remain protected.
“Clients come to us because they need their operations and projections to match what the aircraft actually costs to fly, and that discipline doesn’t change when a drone enters the fleet,” said Jolie Howard, CEO of L’Voyage. “Ray’s RPAS approval allows us to bring the same audit rigor to remotely piloted operations rather than treating them as a separate system.”
Operators and flight departments across Asia managing mixed crewed and remotely piloted fleets, or RPAS fleets independently, can contact PATL to scope an audit covering individual needs.
