Terry Adair’s Debut Book “Where Are the Little Green Men?” Offers a New Answer to the Fermi Paradox

CALIFORNIA – Terry Adair’s Where Are the Little Green Men? takes a fresh approach to the Fermi Paradox, the simple but puzzling question: if the universe is so vast and full of planets, why haven’t we found any signs of intelligent life?
Instead of focusing on biology, sociology, or trying to predict how alien minds might work, he zeroes in on what makes a truly advanced civilization possible: energy.
Adair follows the extraordinary sequence of events that made human civilization possible. He explains how photosynthesis transformed Earth’s atmosphere, how ancient life forms created and buried vast carbon deposits over millions of years, and how those stored energy reserves later powered humanity’s greatest technological breakthroughs; from coal and oil to nuclear fission, and potentially, the future of fusion energy.
Where Are the Little Green Men? is a thought-provoking new book for anyone who has ever wondered if we are alone in the universe, and sparks conversation about Earth’s future and the importance of sustainable and reliable energy.
About the Author
Terry M. Adair, DDS, is an oral and maxillofacial radiologist, author, and energy-literacy advocate whose work bridges science, philosophy, and humanity’s long-term future. He earned his dental degree in 1987 at the University of California San Francisco. He practiced general dentistry in Sacramento, California for more than twenty-six years before returning to academic training in 2017 to pursue advanced certification in oral and maxillofacial radiology at the University of Florida in Gainesville, where he served as Chief Resident.
His non-profit, Fusion Star Project, aims to promote realistic pathways toward sustainable and reliable energy systems, encourage staged energy development, support developing regions in achieving resilient energy independence, and inspire the next generation of scientists, engineers, and thinkers to view energy as the lifeblood of civilization.
He currently lives in Incline Village at Lake Tahoe where he spends a lot of time with triathlon training, open-water swimming, paddle boarding, mountain biking, snowboarding, boating, and traveling. These activities help build his writing as he uses them to seek out deeper understanding in the outdoors. He is a father of four adult children, but shares his home with Maxwell, his cat, often present during late night writing sessions and early morning reflections.
Dr. Adair approaches life with the guiding principle that knowledge should serve humanity.
