WoW Health announces Nationwide launch of Teletherapy Service
WoW Health’s Teletherapy service, previously operational in Michigan only, will be expanding Nationwide effective immediately.
Teletherapy is growing, in no small part due to the stressors from COVID, but also due to the convenience and acceptance of Telemedicine. “We see a lot of users that are interested in teletherapy have never even set foot in a therapist’s office,” said WoW Health’s CEO, Dr. Jawad Arshad. “Teletherapy is providing people a litmus test, whether or not therapy is right for them.”
He further explained his reason for expanding this service all across the US, “We were getting requests from people living in different states, not only Michigan. Many of these people are engaged in demanding jobs with little time for self-care.” Overworking and burnout have unfortunately become more common, and taking time to book an appointment and then commuting to the therapist’s office is not feasible for many. Teletherapy provides a more convenient solution to this problem.
WoW Health has received an excellent response in Michigan for its Teletherapy service and hopes for the same all across the country. WoW Health was also recognized at the ASCEND conference by winning the 2020 Innovation Award.
