Unique Book, “I Love You More Than The Air I Breathe,” Helps Children Reach Their Full Potential

“I Love You More than the Air I Breathe” curated by Alan H. Jordan is an online art book that teachers and parents may use to counteract the negativity of COVID-19, foster a love of art, and help students succeed. Use it in classrooms and online.

Author Alan H. Jordan is taking advantage of the world-wide BookCreator.com platform to partner with teachers and parents. His two goals: (1) Nurture creativity in children; and (2) Encourage love to bloom despite the negativity caused by COVID-19. Use it in a physical or virtual classroom. It’s available for free at http://LetsBeCreative.org.

“This book provides teachers and parents with a tool that encourages children to think creatively and build artistic skill sets in the fine arts and writing,” says Jordan. “And it’s just the beginning. Under the supervision of teachers and homeschoolers, I visualize children uploading videos where they discuss what the art means to them.”

The approach taken by the various artists varies significantly, ranging from Aan Turnip’s warrior mother defending her child to Sameera Wijerathne’s playful image of a mother and baby panda bear. Readers quickly realize that creativity is unbounded in this colorful mosaic of artwork. “By looking at the way fourteen artists illustrate the phrase, ‘I love you more than the air I breathe,’ students intuitively understand that there are many different ways to approach the same topic,” states Jordan.

Middle-grade and high school art teachers may urge the students to think on these unique lines and come up with their artistic interpretations for possible inclusion in a special edition that will showcase student’s art. This edition will be circulated to colleges, schools, and businesses, providing a free platform that helps students get admitted to colleges or get that first important job.

Jordan and some of the artists are available to do virtual visits to schools and libraries. To receive complete information about using Jordan’s resources, whether or not you use BookCreator.com, use your school (.edu), and email [email protected].
